The South Fork Republican River and its various tributaries define the geography of this eastern Colorado landscape on the border of Yuma and Kit Carson counties. A network of rural section roads, including CO Road RR and CO Road NN, provides the infrastructure for a region shaped by high plains ranching and irrigation. In the southern half of the sheet, Landsman Creek winds through the terrain near the Spring Valley Ranch, a local landmark that reflects the area's agricultural heritage. Small communal sites such as Spring Valley Cemetery and Delto Cemetery are preserved in the survey, offering vital reference points for genealogists researching families of the eastern plains. Water management remains central to the landscape, evidenced by the Kleueno Reservoir and the drainage of North Sand Creek in the northern townships.
