Little Cedar Ridge overlooks a landscape defined by an extensive network of water management and ephemeral drainages in Washakie County. The arid terrain is marked by numerous small-scale catchments including Little Cedar Reservoir, Blue Bottle Reservoir, and Best Place Reservoir, which supported the region's ranching economy. The Nowood River clips the eastern edge of the survey, receiving flows from several long draws such as Blue Bank Draw and Bruner Draw.
