Little Cedar Ridge overlooks a landscape defined by an intricate network of drainages and seasonal water storage in this section of Washakie County. The terrain is deeply incised by features such as Mud Gulch, Horton Draw, and Blue Bank Draw, reflecting the arid climate and the necessity of managing surface water. Numerous small-scale reservoirs are scattered throughout the territory, including the descriptively named Need Water Reservoir, Big Trails Reservoir, and Flat Bottom Reservoir. These water sources, often located at the confluence of seasonal streams like Buffalo Cr and Shaw Cr, indicate the area's primary use for livestock grazing. The transportation network is sparse, consisting largely of unpaved routes such as Big Trails Rd and Fiscus Rd, which follow the natural contours of the land between the township boundaries of T45N and T44N.
