Irma and Otis anchor this Lincoln County landscape, situated where the terrain begins to transition from the winding Wisconsin River corridor toward a dense network of glacial kettle lakes. The settlement at Irma is flanked by Irma Hill and the Circle K Airport, while the surrounding countryside is dotted with small community landmarks like Bethany Cem and Chat Community Cem.

Water is a defining characteristic of the eastern half of the quadrangle, where Tug Lake, Larson Lake, and Black Alder Lake are interspersed among numerous smaller basins and wetlands. The local road network, including Co Rd J and Old Hwy 51, provides access to these water bodies and rural homesteads. Significant local elevations such as Chase Hill provide contrast to the flatter marshlands drained by Little Hay Meadow Cr and Joe Snow Cr.
