Jacobs Monument stands as a prominent landmark in this high-desert region of the Navajo Nation, situated just south of the border where Arizona meets Utah. The landscape is defined by the massive plateau formations of Hoskinnini Mesa, Nokai Mesa, and Pickrell Mesa, which dominate the southern and eastern portions of the map. Between these elevated landforms, the drainage systems of Copper Canyon and its tributaries, including the East Fork and West Fork, have carved deep paths through the terrain. The presence of Tse-dahascani and various rural routes such as SJC RD 496 indicate a sparse network of access across this isolated high country, primarily used for land management and movement within the reservation's borders during the late 2010s.
