Bitterroot National Forest encompasses the majority of this mountain landscape, where deep drainages like Dowling Gulch and Echo Gulch carve through the Anaconda Range. The drainage patterns are dominated by the East Fork Bitterroot River and its numerous tributaries, including the namesake Jennings Camp Cr, Bertie Lord Cr, and Swift Creek. Near the southern edge of the survey, the land descends toward Jakes Draw and the Meadow Creek valley.
