Ashley National Forest dominates this section of the Uinta Basin, where the high drainage divide separates numerous steep hollows and canyons. The landscape is defined by the massive Bad Land Cliffs to the south and a complex network of seasonal waterways including Half Moon Creek and Argyle Creek. Transportation through this steep terrain is concentrated along corridors like Indian Canyon Right Fork Rd and Argyle Canyon Rd, which follow the natural contours of the deep canyons.
