The Anaconda Pintler Wilderness dominates this high-altitude landscape where the borders of Granite, Ravalli, and Deer Lodge counties converge. The terrain is defined by the sharp ridgelines of the Anaconda Range, including significant summits like Pintler Peak and Senate Mtn. A complex network of alpine hydrology feeds the East Fork Bitterroot River and Beaver Creek, with numerous high-country basins holding Kelly Lake, Sawed Cabin Lake, and the Alpine Lakes.
