Keota serves as the focal point of this Haskell County landscape, situated just south of the expansive Robert S Kerr Reservoir. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent elevations and low-lying alluvial plains, including Hancock Mtn, Foliart Mtn, and the broad reaches of Saylor Bottom and Blaine Bottom. The inundation from the reservoir has reshaped the local geography, though the historic drainage of Little Sans Bois Cr remains a significant feature in the northwest.
