The Black Rock Desert landscape of Humboldt County is defined by the stark drainage patterns of the Quinn River and the winding Jackson Cr Slough. This 2018 survey documents a remote portion of the high desert where seasonal water channels and alkaline flats dominate the terrain. Human presence is sparse, largely restricted to the corridor of the Jackson Creek Ranch Rd, which provides access through the eastern sections of the quadrangle. The map is heavily structured by the Public Land Survey System, illustrating the township and range divisions including t39n r29e and t38n r30e. This detailed topographic record captures the elevation shifts from the flat desert floor to the rising contours on the eastern edge of the basin.
