Glacier National Park dominates this high-altitude landscape, where the waters of Kintla Lake stretch between steep ridgelines. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, from the glacial ice of Rainbow Glacier to the sharp heights of Starvation Ridge and Parke Ridge. Along the western edge, the North Fork Flathead River provides a primary drainage corridor, with the Inside N Fork Road skirting the lower elevations near Kishenehn Creek.
