Willow Lake and Diamond Lake dominate the northern terrain of this Nebraska Sandhills landscape in Brown County. This 2014 survey captures a sparsely populated region defined by its characteristic dune-and-swale topography and isolated water bodies, including the Chain Lakes near the northern boundary. The only significant transportation corridor marked is Elsmere Rd, which winds through the western half of the quadrangle. The lack of named settlements or schools on this sheet reflects the remote nature of this ranching country, where open grazing lands are punctuated only by these perennial lakes and the relief of the sand hills.
