The Missouri River carves a deep valley through this portion of Franklin and St. Charles Counties, defining the agricultural and industrial landscape. The massive Labadie Power Plant and its associated Ash Disposal Pond and Labadie Power Plant Reservoir dominate the southern bank, situated on the fertile Labadie Bottoms.
