Bighorn National Forest dominates this high-altitude landscape along the border of Big Horn and Johnson counties. The terrain is defined by a dense network of alpine lakes and dramatic peaks, including Bomber Mtn and Mather Peaks. Glacial features are prominent throughout the region, with Florence Pass providing a natural corridor between the drainages of Paint Rock Cr and North Clear Creek.
