Lake Mary Ronan sits as the central focal point of this Northwest Montana landscape, where the waters of Donaldson Cr and Freeland Cr feed into the lake's basin. The topography is defined by the high elevations of the Salish Mountains and the Hog Heaven Range, with Blacktail Mtn and Wild Bill Mtn marking the skyline. Much of the northern terrain is managed within the Flathead National Forest, accessible by a network of forest development roads including Wild Bill Rd and Burma Rd. In the southwest corner, the small settlement of Niarada provides a point of human activity near the winding path of Cromwell Cr. This map documents a transition from the forested mountain heights to the populated shoreline areas, where routes like Camp Tuffit Rd and W Shore Rd trace the eastern and southern edges of the lake.
