Lake Vanderwork serves as a central hydrological feature in this western Oklahoma landscape, where the waters of Oak Cr and Trail Elk Cr converge. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the Washita River and its numerous tributaries, including Wild Cat Cr and W Bill Cr, which have carved out the local topography. This 2016 survey shows a rural environment punctuated by a systematic network of section-line roads, such as e1270 RD and n2340 RD, reflecting the agricultural organization of Washita County.
