Craters of the Moon National Preserve covers the northern half of this Idaho landscape, where the volcanic history of Minidoka County is documented through a series of specialized water catchments and isolated basins. The arid nature of Larkspur Park is evident in the network of man-made infrastructure designed to manage sparse resources, including Mike Reservoir, Mabel Reservoir, and Halogeton Reservoir.
