Lilliwaup and Dewatto face one another across the waters of the Hood Canal in this detailed survey of the Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic foothills. The landscape is defined by its intricate hydrography, ranging from the Lilliwaup Falls near the western shore to the winding Dewatto River and Tahuya River systems in the east. Numerous small lakes and ponds dot the upland terrain, including Oak Lake, Maggie Lake, and the uniquely named Lone Duck Pond.
