Lilliwaup sits along the western shoreline of the Hood Canal, where the waters of Lilliwaup Cr tumble over Lilliwaup Falls before reaching the sea. This coastal landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the Olympic Peninsula's eastern slopes to the deep waters of the fjord, centered on the dramatic turn known as The Great Bend. Across the canal on the Great Peninsula, the settlement of Dewatto occupies a protected position at the head of Dewatto Bay.

The interior of the peninsula is a dense network of freshwater resources, including the sizeable Maggie Lake, Wildberry Lake, and the curiously named The Peat Bog. Local infrastructure reflects the area's geography, with the winding path of The Burma Rd following the western shore and NE Dewatto Rd cutting through the forested hills. From the prominent Musqueti Point to the sheltered Lilliwaup Bay, the map reveals a community deeply integrated with the complex coastline of the Puget Sound's westernmost reach.
