Kibby and the nearby Kibbey Cemetery are situated on the western edge of this landscape in central Montana, where the terrain is defined by the drainages of Little Otter Creek and Big Otter Creek. The area transitions from open range into the Lewis and Clark National Forest, which covers the southern portion of the map. Numerous coulees, such as Dutchman Coulee, Hansen Coulee, and Peterson Coulee, carve through the high ground surrounding Limestone Butte.
