Limestone Butte dominates the central landscape of this portion of Lewis & Clark National Forest in Judith Basin County. The terrain is defined by a dense network of coulees and canyons, where drainage systems like Little Otter Cr and Big Otter Cr have carved deep paths through the Little Belt Mountains. This topography created a challenging environment for early transport, visible in the winding routes of Limestone Canyon Rd and Otter Creek Rd.
