The Fort Morgan Peninsula forms a narrow, protective barrier between the Gulf waters and the interior bays of coastal Alabama. This modern survey illustrates the southern edge of Mobile Bay and the wide expanse of Bon Secour Bay, where the geography is defined by maritime navigation and conservation efforts. Much of the terrestrial area is dedicated to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, preserving the coastal habitat from development.
