The Oconee River defines the western and southern landscape of this Treutlen County region, carving deep bends and creating numerous bluffs and landings. Distinctive landmarks such as Berry Hill Bluff, Bonnie Clabber Bluff, and Silver Bluff overlook the water, marking high ground along the winding river corridor. Near the center of the sheet, the small settlement of Barnhill and the adjacent Barnhill Cemetery sit near Lake Ginger and Barwick Pond.
