Fishlake National Forest encompasses the high-altitude terrain of Monroe Mountain in this 2020 topographical study of Piute County. The landscape is defined by an extensive network of drainages and peaks, including the prominent Malmsten Peak and the nearby Twin Peaks. A complex system of water management is evident through numerous upland catchments such as Hell Hole Reservoir, Rock Canyon Reservoir, and Dead Horse Reservoir, which likely serve the livestock grazing still active at Forshea Pasture.
