Mcintosh Ranch occupies a central position in this southeastern Colorado landscape, which is defined by an extensive system of water management. The irrigation infrastructure is remarkably dense here, anchored by the Adobe Creek Reservoir and the Fort Lyon Canal. These man-made waterways, including the Fort Lyon Storage Canal and various outlet ditches, trace the movement of water across Bent County’s arid terrain to support local ranching and agriculture.
