Evidence of historical transit and utility is preserved in the trace of an Old Railroad Grade and a lonely Landing Strip near the river. The terrain is marked by distinctive formations like the Natural Bridge in Horse Heaven and a Natural Arch further south. While largely uninhabited, the presence of a Drill Hole and a Prospect indicate the mid-century industrial interest that touched even these isolated reaches of the San Rafael Swell.
