The high peaks of the Absaroka Range dominate this 2024 landscape in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. This area of Park County is defined by its dramatic relief, anchored by Mt Cowen in the southwest and Mt McKnight to the north. These summits provide the headwaters for a network of drainages, including Davis Creek and Jungle Creek, which feed into the West Boulder River as it cuts through the eastern portion of the quadrangle.
