Gabbs Valley Range dominates this corner of Mineral County, rising toward the prominent peak of Mt Ferguson. The landscape is defined by a critical network of desert water sources that would have been essential for early prospectors and ranchers, including Indian Spring, Wildhorse Spring, and Paint Rock Spring. These isolated springs are often found tucked into topographical breaks like The Narrows or near the mouth of Paint Rock Canyon.
