Glacier National Park defines this high-altitude landscape, where the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail winds through the high passes of the Northern Rockies. The topography is dominated by massive peaks such as Mt Geduhn and Anaconda Peak, which overlook a complex network of glacial valleys and alpine basins. Significant water bodies including Lake Evangeline, Grace Lake, and Nahsukin Lake are fed by numerous drainages like Logging Cr and Anaconda Cr. The drainage patterns are particularly clear here, with the Waterton River flowing northward and McDonald Cr carving through the eastern slopes. This 2020 survey provides a modern record of the primitive wilderness and trail systems that cross the boundary between Glacier and Flathead counties at points like Kootenai Pass.
