Big Pine Creek and its many tributaries define this section of the Indiana landscape along the Benton and Jasper County line. The terrain is characterized by a sophisticated network of agricultural drainage, including the Hollingsworth Ditch, Pine Cr Ditch, and Lague Ditch, which manage the flow through the level plains. High points are few but distinct, most notably Mt Gilboa and Mt Nebo, which rise above the surrounding fields.
