Lolo National Forest defines this high-altitude landscape in the Cabinet Mountains, where numerous alpine basins hold small, isolated glacial lakes. The terrain is anchored by several prominent peaks, including Mount Headley, Cube Iron Mtn, and Mt Silcox, creating a complex network of ridgelines and drainage basins. High-elevation passes such as Cube Iron Pass provide the only natural navigation through the steep divide between the Four Lakes Cr and Graves Cr watersheds.
