Mt Jerusalem dominates this high-altitude landscape along the border of the Bitterroot National Forest and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. The terrain is defined by a series of high basins containing remote alpine water bodies such as Watchtower Lake, Lake Crystal, and Jerusalem Lake. The Idaho and Montana state line traverses the northeastern corner, where the boundary between Idaho and Ravalli counties meets the divide.
