The Cerbat Mountains rise sharply in the southwestern corner of this landscape, deeply incised by the drainage of Tipton Canyon. This arid transition between the Mojave Desert and the Hualapai Valley is defined by a series of ephemeral watercourses, including Truxton Wash and Cane Spring Wash, which channel seasonal runoff toward Red Lake in the north.
