1994 Map of Mt. Williamson

USGS Topo · Published 1997

About this map

Mt Williamson towers over the high Sierra crest at the intersection of the John Muir Wilderness and the Bighorn Sheep Zoological Area. This mid-1990s survey by the U.S. Forest Service captures the high-altitude landscape where the boundaries of Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Inyo National Forest converge. The intricate glacial topography is defined by the Williamson Bowl and numerous high lakes, including Lake Helen of Troy and the Wright Lakes.
