Lake Powell dominates this high-desert corridor where it meets the Colorado River within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The landscape is a complex system of carved drainages and mesas, including the prominent Nasja Mesa and the sweeping San Juan Valley. The interplay of water and sandstone is evident in the numerous deep side canyons such as Reflection Canyon, Hidden Passage Canyon, and Anasazi Canyon.
