Black Mesa and White Mesa dominate the northern plateau of this high-desert landscape in San Juan County, illustrating the deeply eroded topography of southeastern Utah. The drainage network is defined by the Cottonwood Wash and its Right Hand Fork, which carve through the sandstone toward Decker Cove. The southern portion of the sheet transitions into the prominent Bluff Bench, while the namesake No-Mans Island sits surrounded by these drainage channels.
