The Palomas Mountains anchor the southwestern portion of this desert landscape, where high ridgelines overlook the expansive basins of Yuma County. Much of the terrain is defined by the ephemeral drainage of Hoodoo Wash, which cuts across the central and northern sections of the sheet. This 2018 survey reveals a largely undeveloped region where the influence of human infrastructure is limited to the peripheral grid of local roads. Along the eastern edge, routes such as Ave 65E, Co 15th St N, and Co 13th St N provide the only established access points into the arid backcountry. The map clearly delineates the township and range boundaries, including sections within t4s r13w and t5s r12w, showing the systematic division of this remote Arizona environment.
