Pine Creek Valley and the surrounding high-country terrain of Lassen County are defined by a complex network of forest routes and logging infrastructure in this 2012 survey. The landscape is marked by prominent volcanic features like Crater Mountain and Round Valley Butte, which overlook a series of natural basins including Little Round Valley and the marshy flats around Feather Lake. The Lassen Trl cuts across the center of the sheet, providing a historical throughway near the seasonal drainage of Pine Cr.
