The Snake River and the small settlement of Poplar define the northern reach of this Bonneville County landscape. The terrain transitions from the irrigated agricultural lands near Riley Ditch into the prominent elevations of the Caribou Range. A significant portion of the western map area is occupied by the waters of Ririe Reservoir, which follows the winding canyon of Willow Creek.
