Prattsburg and the surrounding Finger Lakes uplands are defined by a complex network of deep-cut drainage gullies and high ridges during this mid-2010s survey. The landscape is marked by steep elevation changes between West Hill and the valleys of Flint Cr and Fivemile Cr. This area, where Ontario, Yates, and Steuben Counties converge, retains a rural character dominated by agricultural land and woodlots. Settlement is concentrated in the village of Prattsburg and the smaller hamlets of Italy and Italy Hill. Genealogists will find several burial sites including the Italy-Naples Cem and the Rural Cem. The map provides a clear look at the local road network, including family-named routes like Brink Hill Rd and Pulver Rd, alongside natural features such as Conklin Gully and Segar Gully.
