The Yellowstone River carves a path through the southern expanse of Paradise Valley, defining the agricultural and transport corridor of this Montana landscape. Small unincorporated settlements like Chicory and Pray anchor the valley floor, connected by the historical route of the Old Yellowstone Trl N. The geography transitions sharply from the riparian zone of the river to the high elevations of Antelope Butte and the surrounding peaks, where numerous drainages such as Tie Gulch A and Eightmile Cr descend into the basin.
