The Little Quilcene River and Big Quilcene River flow into the tidal flats of Quilcene Bay in this mid-century survey of the Olympic Peninsula’s eastern edge. The settlement of Quilcene serves as the local hub, featuring a High Sch and access to the Quilcene Boat Haven. To the east, the Bolton Peninsula separates the two primary water bodies, leading to the deeper reaches of Dabob Bay.

Maritime and industrial activity is evident through features like the State Shellfish Laboratory at Whitney Point and the location of Bees Mill on the southern shoreline. Transportation changes are marked by an RR Trestle (Abandoned) near the bay’s head, while recreation and community sites such as Camp Discovery and Camp Harmony dot the coastline. The eastern portion of the map is defined by the Toandos Peninsula, which includes a significant Naval Reservation bordering the Hood Canal.
