Rotten Hill and the distinctive landform of Five Fingers define the high plains topography of this Potter County landscape. The area is heavily dissected by an intricate network of seasonal drainages, most notably Sierrita de la Cruz Cr and Wildorado Cr, which carve through the terrain. These watercourses create a complex series of draws and ridges, including the appropriately named Hand Draw in the center of the quadrangle.
