Sabino sits at the northern edge of this high-plains landscape, where the drainage of Sabino Creek begins its descent through the caprock into a network of canyons. The terrain is defined by deep incisions such as Vigil Canyon and Jose Antonio Canyon, which carve through the prominent Circle S Mesa and lead toward the broader basin of Tequesquite Creek. This pattern of mesas and draws reflects a ranching geography where water sources like Revoal Spring were vital for survival in Harding County.
