The high summits of the Bridger Range dominate this portion of Gallatin National Forest, where the landscape is defined by a series of prominent peaks and deep drainages. Sacagawea Peak serves as the focal point of the range here, flanked by Pomp Peak and Naya Nuki Peak. The rugged eastern slopes contain high-altitude water bodies such as Fairy Lake and Elf Lake, which feed the headwaters of Fairy Creek.
