Sacagawea Peak dominates this high-elevation portion of the Bridger Range, where the crest of the mountains defines the western boundary of the Bozeman Ranger District. A cluster of small mountain lakes—Fairy Lake, Anger Lake, Frazier Lake, and Elf Lake—sit nestled below the eastern face of the range, feeding the headwaters of the South Fork Frazier Creek.

The eastern portion of the landscape transitions toward Battle Ridge, where Battle Ridge Pass serves as a critical navigation point. Multiple forks of Flathead Creek drain the northern slopes, while the southern reaches are marked by deep incisions like Limestone Canyon and Dry Canyon. This era of the Gallatin National Forest shows a managed wilderness defined by its trail systems and drainage networks, with a single Corral noted near the northern boundary.
