The unincorporated community of Salol sits at the heart of this Roseau County landscape, defined by a grid of rural section roads and engineered drainage systems. The northern portion of the map is dominated by the County Ditch Number Seven, a significant water management feature typical of the region's agricultural development. Historical markers of the local community are preserved in the locations of Spruce Cem to the northwest and Fairview Cem further south. The natural hydrology is represented by the meandering paths of Cow Cr and Bear Cr, which cut through the lower sections of the township. This 2019 survey documents a landscape where traditional land divisions, marked by boundaries like t162n r39w and t162n r38w, remain the foundation of the modern geography.
