Santo Domingo Pueblo and the surrounding river valley show a landscape deeply defined by the Rio Grande and its seasonal tributaries. This modern survey documents the complex irrigation and road networks serving the pueblos, including the Lower West Side Santo Domingo Ditch and numerous service routes like Indian Svc Rte 85. The geography is anchored by the massive Cochiti Lake reservoir and the transition from the river bottom to the high ground of La Majada Mesa and Tetilla Peak. To the south, the village of Domingo sits near the confluence where Galisteo Creek meets the main river valley. Cultural landmarks including the Cochiti Pueblo Cem and Pena Blanca Cem are preserved on the map, alongside residential street grids in Peña Blanca and Cochiti Pueblo.
