Schuster Flats and its surrounding drainage systems define this section of Washakie County, characterized by a network of seasonal draws and high desert terrain. The landscape is primarily shaped by the erosive paths of Fifteenmile Creek and Tenmile Creek, along with their various tributaries like the Middle Fork Tenmile Cr and N Fork Tenmile Cr. Human modification of the arid environment is evident through several water management features, most notably the Big Horn Canal cutting through the southeastern corner. Small-scale water storage is also present at Wide Draw Reservoir and Sand Butte Reservoir. The terrain is segmented by a series of named topographic depressions including Schuster Draw, Colter Draw, Crooked Draw, and Horse Gulch, which provide a detailed look at the local geography between 15 Mile Rd and Ten Mile Rd.
