The Medicine Bow National Forest dominates this landscape along the border of Albany and Laramie Counties, where high-altitude ridges and water resources define the topography. The Upper N Crow Reservoir and the multiple branches of N Br Crow Cr and Middle Crow Cr provide essential drainage for this upland region. Named high points including Twin Mtn, Green Mtn, and Reynolds Hill mark the eastern reaches of the Sherman Mountains. A complex network of modern recreation trails and historic forest roads, such as the Stone Temple Circuit, Pinball, and Mo Rocka, reflects the area's transition from traditional forest management toward a high-use public recreation hub. The southern portion of the quadrangle is traversed by Lone Tree Cr and N Buford Rd, highlighting the connectivity between these peaks and the surrounding plains.
